Several advances in contacts have been made and continue to progress with the design of contacts as well as the actual material the lens is made out of. Just like you can have shirts made out of different materials, the material the contact lens is made out of can vary dramatically too, which means the amount of oxygen that gets to your cornea can be substantially different.

What's the latest?

SOFT SINGLE VISION CONTACTS: There are much more breathable contacts available from several lens manufacturers now that allow high amounts of oxygen to reach the cornea, the front surface of your eye. These lenses are made out of silicone hydrogel material and can make a tremendous difference in how comfortable your contacts feel on your eye at the end of the day as well as the general front surface ocular health.

SOFT MULTIFOCAL LENSES: Do you hate to reach into your purse or pocket for your reading glasses when you're out to dinner? Designs for multifocal contacts (contacts designed for distance, intermediate and up close tasks) have in the past and continue to improve every year.

HARD MULTIFOCAL LENSES: Hands down--the best optics available for patients wearing contact lenses. These lenses require a little more adaptation to wearing the lenses when initially fit, but offer the sharpest vision at all distances. This is an easy upgrade for patients who already wear hard gas permeable lenses and now need help seeing things up close. These lenses are now available with a plasma treatment on the front surface, which makes the lenses more comfortable by increasing the lens wettability and resisting lipid and protein deposits on the lens from interaction with your tear film.

NIKE SPORT CONTACT LENSES: From active outdoor individuals to elite athletes, if you get annoyed with wearing sunglasses when playing a game or doing a lot of outdoor activities now there is another alternative. These tinted contacts are just like wearing sunglasses, only without the frame!

Full year supply orders of contacts can be directly shipped to your house, please indicate that on the order form if you'd like the shipment to come directly to you.
